Welcome to CheatingDome, your magical spot on the web for all the cheats, tips & secrets for your videogamesWe are publishing new cheats, hints and secrets every day since 1998. We are the oldest site that still has all the cheats and codes for the older platforms aboard. We know that nowadays more and more gamers only play online, so there is no need for real cheats since those do not exist in the online world. However, we do keep publishing tips and secrets for those games as well.
Many sites that were competitors of CheatingDome in the past have abandoned their sites or switched it off. CheatingDome will continue to bring you the latest tips and info about all the games ever released on every system.
Thanks everyone for being a loyal visitor in these 20 years.

So, in the past week or so I've gotten into the Galactic Science modpack, and it's been pretty fun so far.
Moonjumps never seem to get old, haha. But I seem to have hit sort of a wall in my progression and don't know what to do next.I've just finished the first chapter of quests, and I've poked my head into the others. Have a small tree-farm and wheat-farm underground, and the lighting feels inadequate. But after my first 3-hour moon night it seemed a worthy sacrifice. I have a basic cobblegen and semi-automated obsidian for decomposition.
Finally I have my minechem setup next to an automatic sieve. But all I have for power gen is the freebie star and one stirling generator.
As you can imagine Things run a little. Slow.It seems like I hit a tech wall though.
All the other quests in 'More Power!' Seem to require Desh or more. So I guess I need to get off of the Moon pretty soon. But the first item in that quest line, the compressor or what not, says it requires 250 RF/tick. But I don't seem to have options for power-gen, really. Am I missing anything? What should be my next move?
A lot of these mods are new to me and I'm a little lost.tl;dr: Is running 15 stirling generators really my best option until I'm off the moon?. The short answer is yes.The best way I've encountered to gather resources in T1 is a wall of Stirling Generators (powered by lava or hydrogen) running a chain of obsidian generation - decomposition into silicon dioxide - autocraft into gravel - autosieve for metals - autocraft into gravel ores - smelt or autohammer then smelt as you please. As noted, build everything larger than you think you'll need. GS is a pack based around abusing infinite resource generation and the bigger the snowball starts the easier time you'll have as it rolls downhill. I'm so used to using TE to autofill buckets at this point. How do you do it in this pack? I'm at the point now where I've got a bank of 11 or so stirling generators burning H, but I feel like lava would give me more power. Any suggestions?
I thought about making a similar post over the weekend. I've got the following set up right now:.2x awesomium cube-powered crucibles generating lava for obsidian.3x auto-sieves (I should probably get more?) turning gravel into junk.11x gens powered by hydrogen (Would lava be better?
Seems like the decomp is barely staying powered). I like lava more because the number of items transferred is so much lower and I find it to be much less temperamental.
Hydrogen is a good jumping point because all you need is one liquid and one item transfer node to get going, but as power needs increase lava makes more sense to me.You can auto fill buckets with EIO's fluid tank, and then use either creative piping with filter pipes or an item router to get them to and from the generators. I've read that one crucible can support eight generators, but I haven't tested it fully myself. As far as whether you need more resource generation, is there a good reason why you shouldn't get more? Very early on space can be a thing because enemies are a lot more annoying on the moon, but a wall and glowstone torch spam and/or a magnum torch should make that a non-issue. I would even say holding off on the rocket to Mars until your income exceeds your ability to consume regardless of what you build isn't a bad idea. It's not like you'll suddenly stop needing iron or redstone once you get desh. Also worth mentioning is that if you automate every single part of the process (which you may have done), dropping a chunk loader over your base will keep your resources rolling in while you mess around on other planets, even beyond Mars. Hey, thanks for replying.
I guess my previous post was kind of a mess. I'm at work now, so I can't see the recipes, but do those machines need desh? I think that's why I didn't build them. Thanks for reminding me of them, though. I keep forgetting you can do almost everything with EIO.I mostly just listed those because I was curious if that was enough to get to T2. I ripped apart my base and rebuilt it last night, more or less tripling what's on there, and send the sifted materials to sorted barrels. I'm actually thinking I should double it again (up to 9 sieves, might bump it to 20, etc).Is there anything I should take with me when I go to mars?

I'm in the process now of gathering mats for the t2 rocket, and honestly am a complete noob with GC.Also, any good way to generate redstone dust? I know I can get it from turf, but I'm not terribly keen on strip mining the moon atm.:)Thanks again!:).

Everything I've mentioned is available at t1.You can create turf (and every moon surface material) from silicon and oxygen in a crafting table. Combined with crafters from RFTools and obsidian decomposition, the process can be completely automated. NEI should be able to tell you the recipes. As far as 'enough', it all just depends on what you're having fun building and how much waiting you're willing to do. Technically speaking you could progress to Mars with one sieve and a really persistent finger on the mouse, but it would take way longer than anyone is willing to wait.
My suggestion is to build what you want to build, and whenever you run into a resource wall, double (or whatever you have the resources for) that production. Building the infrastructure is the point of the pack, have fun with it.Once you are ready to go to Mars, you'll want an Ender Chest or a dimensional chest. There's a quest for the latter in the book; it's basically an Ender Chest with more bells and whistles. You want that because it'll allow you to bring more stuff back from Mars (even the mars cobblestone can be sieve'd for a very small amount of more desh). You'll also want a way to refuel the rocket to get back home, which means a filled capacitor bank from EIO and the refueling station, as well as more fuel. You'll get the landing pad and the rocket back, so no worries about that.If you haven't already, I also recommend the pickaxe from Router Reborn.
It mines in a 5x5 area and has tons of durability, as well as creating torches from nothing on right click that don't burn out without oxygen. Also, unlike with the heat insulation there isn't a quest for a parachute and landing on Mars won't be fun times without it. GC will warn you when you try to board the rocket without it, but figured I'd mention it just in case.EDIT: About the Ender Chest - remember you can't pick it up without Silk Touch. The dimensional chest doesn't have the same issue.
